Either would be good.
Zoology will probably focus more on the animal itself…anatomy, physiology, biology, etc.
Wildlife Science will focus a lot on its habitat, behavior, conservation, ecology, etc.
So it all depends on what aspect of dolphins you’re more interested in.

Not sure what the necessities are in Australia, but here in the States, especially in California, it’s four years and sixty units of college education. I’m not sure right off hand what classes are required, but for sure: biology and criminal justice.
In my opinion, I think it’d be a hell of a great job. As long as you like what you’re doing. I say it because I would love to have a job as a warden for California Department of Fish & Game. And I love my life as a bass fisherman.

I cannot be sure about scholarships, but I used to teach English in the department of fisheries at Kagoshima University. I can put you in touch with the professor in charge of Foreign Student Affairs. He is a very nice man and speaks English very well. Let me know if you are game.
